Ceramic Hub

Founded in Hong Kong in 1985, PWS Ceramic Hub began as The Pottery Workshop. Run by artist and curator Caroline Cheng, the organization expanded to Shanghai and Jingdezhen, and is now a complete ceramics ecosystem.

Today, the Jingdezhen location features a renowned international residency studio, ceramic workshops, a weekly creative market, a gallery, a café, and a ceramic supplies store. All of it sits at the centre of the world's porcelain capital.

International Residency Studio

Our International Residency Studio has welcomed artists for over 20 years. Residents get a semi-private 13㎡ studio with 24-hour access, on-campus accommodation, freshly prepared meals, and bilingual coordinators who help you navigate the city, connect with local craftspeople, and get the most out of your time here.

Stay from one week up to several months. Work independently, or join one of our group residency programs designed for universities and creative collectives. Up to 12 residents work side by side at any one time, a small, focused community in a city shaped entirely by ceramic heritage.
